Fourth Hike - Waldo Canyon

My fourth hike, Waldo Canyon, was another birthday hike - well just before my birthday on June 29, 2009.  It is Hike #38 under the Central Mountains section.  It is located just outside of Manitou Springs and is a 7 mile loop.  I went with my favorite hiking partner Bailey.

Saw some interesting plants and some blooming cactus.

There are some fantastic views of Pikes Peak.

It was a hot day but poor Bailey was a trooper.

Also there are some great rock formations in the area especially in the canyons heading towards Colorado Springs.
